Dear Parents & Carers
Like you, schools only heard the outline of the government’s plans to start a phased re-opening of schools during the Prime Minister’s announcement on Sunday evening. We are expecting to hear more details from central government in the near future. Once we have heard and received more detailed information we will be able to consider what their plans mean for our school.
I appreciate that this news will have raised questions for you about how the re-opening may operate at a local level. I will be able to provide further information in the coming days and weeks once we have had an opportunity to understand the policy details and what that means for our school. We will, of course, keep parents informed and work with you to ensure any return to school is as smooth as possible for your children.
However, in the short-term, nothing has changed. In line with government requests, we will continue to provide child care for children of key workers and vulnerable children, as well as free school meal hampers for all eligible children. In addition, we will continue to provide children and parents with home learning ideas and resources.
Mrs S Reynolds
