School Uniform

School Uniform

At Castlechurch the Governors and staff feel that the wearing of school uniform does much to give pupils confidence in themselves, pride in the school and helps to promote a feeling of belonging to the school community. It is both practical and economical and helps prevent needless comparisons in dress. Parents are asked to give their full support to the view that all pupils should wear school uniform.

Recommended items of clothing are as follows:-

White Polo Shirt
Grey Trousers or skirt/pinafore
Maroon gingham check summer dress (in the Summer Term only)
Black school shoes
Year 3 to 6:

V Neck Maroon sweatshirt/cardigan imprinted with the school logo
White Shirt and Collar
Grey Trousers or skirt/pinafore
Maroon gingham check summer dress (in the Summer Term only)

For P.E. we ask that the children have in school:-

  • Black shorts, black T-shirt (with school logo – optional) and pumps/trainers.
  • We aim to teach P.E./Games lessons outside throughout the year. Children will require black jogging bottoms and sweatshirts/outdoor sports jacket to wear during cold spells with an optional school outdoor sports top (avaliable from our uniform supplier)
  • Pump bag to keep P.E. kit in (named and kept on child's coat peg every day)
  • On sunny days during the summer, we recommend that children bring a sun hat to protect them whilst playing outside.

All children will use the All Weather Pitch for which the best footwear is trainers which need to be in school every day for both P.E. and lunchtimes.

Extra Information

All items of uniform imprinted with the Castlechurch logo, including a very serviceable reversible coat/fleece, are available from the Crested Schoolwear shop in St Marys Mews in Stafford town. This shop carries a full range of items and items without the logo are available in many stores.

All items of clothing must be labeled with the child’s name. In the event that a child loses any item of clothing, there is a lost property box just off the main corridor.
