VE Project -  We can't wait to see what you decide to do for your VE project!

VE Day Personal Project

Hello Year 6! This week's learning challenge is all about VE Day, which we will be celebrating as a nation on Friday this week (this is why the usual May Day bank holiday has moved from today to Friday, as it will mark the 75 year anniversary.) This week you have a four day week, and in that time we would like you to complete a personal project on VE day. You can create a fact file poster, or a presentation, or recreate some of the recipes that were made for the street parties that took place to mark the occasion (remember, rationing was still in place then so many of the recipes were cleverly adapted to account for the limited amounts of certain foods such as eggs and butter!). You could even plan a lock-down celebration instead of a street party, that you and your family can enjoy together on Friday! Be as creative as you like - we cannot wait to see what you come up with!
